Animal Tales Story Time
Friday, June 18, 11:00-11:30 a.m.
For ages 3-5 with a caregiver.
Join us for animal stories, songs and a craft. All in-person participants must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Space is limited and registration is required. Online registration for Somers residents begins on June 1 and non-residents on June 14 (depending on space).

Tails and Tales presented by Riverside Reptiles

Join us for a morning of Tails and Tales with some of the residents that live at the Riverside Reptiles Education Center in Enfield, CT! Get introduced to some scaly ambassadors with tails that have a unique tale to tell! This program will be held outdoors on the library lawn (weather permitting). Please bring your own blanket or chairs and practice social distancing. PaCK: Pets and Caring Kids presented by the CT Humane Society
Monday, June 28, 11:00 a.m.
For students in grades K-2. Learn about keeping pets happy and healthy with an educator from the Connecticut Humane Society. Registration is required. Online registration for Somers residents begins June 1 and non-residents on June 14 (depending on space). This program will be held in the Blake Room.  All in-person participants must wear a mask and practice social distancing. Space is limited.

Family Magic Show with Ed Popielarczyk

Please join us on the library lawn for a Comedy Magic Show with Ed Popielarczyk! Put a little magic in your life with this family friendly program.  Please bring your own blanket or chairs and practice social distancing. Masks are required unless you are seated on your blanket or chairs. In the event of rain, we will reschedule for an alternative date! Registration is required. Online registration for Somers residents begins on June 1 and non-residents June 14 (depending on space). Space is limited.

Frightened Frog presented by the CT D.E.E.P.
Thursday, July 1, 11:00a.m.
Enjoy the story of The Frightened Frog as you hear about the challenges facing frogs in today’s world. Learn how to identify local frogs and toads by call and physical characteristics. We will cover ways to explore their habitats safely while protecting them and their amphibian and reptile friends. For ages 4 & up with a caregiver.  Registration is required. Online registration begins June 14. Once registered, we will email you a Zoom link a few days before the program and a frog craft will be available for pick up.

Let’s Draw Animals! with Rick Stromoski
Wednesday, July 7, 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Learn to draw cartoon animals on Zoom with award winning cartoonist Rick Stromoski. Kids ages 7-14 will learn to draw a variety of our furry, hoofed and feathered friends in the fun, interactive and popular library program! Be sure to have a stack of paper and your favorite drawing utensils for the program! Registration is required. Online registration begins June 14. Once registered, a Zoom link will be emailed to you a few days before the program.
