There are many databases and information sources that the library subscribes to that you may use either within the library or at home. Included are magazine and newspaper articles, genealogy information, up-to-date medical information and information on books and their authors. You will need your library card number to access these databases.
ICONN – a collection of essential library and information resources for all Connecticut residents, students and faculty. This service provided by the Connecticut State Library includes everything from newspapers to thousands of articles from hundreds of magazines and other databases.
Issues and Controversies – excellent articles on the pros and cons of many of the most relevant issues of our day.
Heritage Quest Genealogy – Search U.S. federal censuses, family and local histories, and primary-source documents such as tax lists, city directories, and probate records. Materials date back to the 1700s.
Medical Information – Developed by the National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health for consumers needing health information. Includes clinical trials and drug information.
Novelist – Great way to find out what your favorite authors have written. You can find the chronological order of a book series. Also helps you find authors that write like the authors you most enjoy.
